Everyone (especially me) loves a great swimming pool. Previously, I was thought any pool with a comfortable lounge chair and a volleyball net was top notch, and maybe if I really wanted to go crazy an infinity edge or beach view, but that was before seeing the pools in this post.

The enormous pool at the San Alfonso del Mar is about 1 hour outside of Santiago, Chile, and is the biggest pool in the world!
This pool is literally 1 kilometer long and holds 66 million gallons of water. This pool is so large that it supposedly costs $4 million a year to keep it up.

Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Have you ever wanted to go through a shark tank without getting your leg bit off? That is entirely possible at the Golden Nugget pool in downtown Las Vegas, which features a water-slide straight through a live shark tank.
Also worth noting is that the Golden Nugget is an amazing hotel that is surprisingly affordable. I previously booked my family there (offseason) for $25 a night. The waterslide also makes this pool one of the best pools in Las Vegas for families.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Not only is The Cosmopolitan one of the hottest new properties on the Las Vegas strip, but their pool is easily one of the best pools in vegas, offering incredible views of the strip, as well as a movie theater experience.
I’ve been lucky enough to watch a few “dive in” movies there, and the best part was that when I went, admission was free!

Even though Iceland can be extremely cold, this pool is heated by water bubbling up from the center of the earth into the middle of a cooled lava field. The experience is like no other, and in person the water really does have the chalky blue color.
