To reach Bean Point Beach, you can drive across the Anna Maria Island Bridge from the mainland, which connects to the island via Manatee Avenue (State Road 64). It is about 1 hour from Tampa or Sarasota. When most people fly in they go to Tampa which generally has more and cheaper flight options.
