The Seychelles (refers to a nation as well as a group of islands) are famous for having many of the best beaches on earth.  This archipelago nation is made up of 115 islands, i.e. tons of coastlines.  If you don’t know much about this country start with this Seychelles travel guide.

Even after looking at photos of the Seychelles Beaches, and spending hours researching the best beaches in Seychelles, I can still say that seeing them in person absolutely blew my mind.  I know how Photoshop works and that it can make a place look a million times better than it actually does in person, but in Seychelles island pictures you are NOT being deceived.  They really do have the completely unique and unreal allure that will make you want to spend all day there lounging in the sun, scrambling over granite boulders, or snorkeling in the clear blue water.

Below you will find 8 absolutely incredible beaches that I absolutely cannot oversell.

8 of the Best Seychelles Beach Spots

Best Beaches in Mahe, Seychelles

Anse Royale | Mahe Island Beau Vallon Beach Seychelles, Mahe Island

Even though this beach is on the biggest and most populated island, it is still pretty remote.  To get there you need to complete an hour long hike or access from the water.  The beach isn’t big, but snorkeling around the huge granite boulders lining the beach can’t be beat.

Beau Vallon, Seychelles Beach

Anse Royale Beach in the Seychelles

As one of the bigger and busier beaches on this list you may think about passing this one up, but with it being close to the airport, restaurants, and shops it is one you still will want to include.  The water here is generally shallow and the waves are calm making it an ideal beach for families to spend time on.  Even though lots of people go there, it’s big enough that you definitely will not feel crowded.

Anse Major, Seychelles | Mahe Island

Anse Major Seychelles
Anse Major is a beautiful hard-to-reach beach on the North-West side of Mahe Island near the town of Bel Ombre Seychelles.

Even though this beach is on the biggest and most populated island, it is still pretty remote.  To get there you need to complete an hour long hike or access from the water.  The beach isn’t big, but snorkeling around the huge granite boulders lining the beach can’t be beat.

Anse Trusalo | Mahe Island

Anse Trusalo Beach on Mahe Island

This is yet another breathtaking beach located on Mahe island.  Mahe is the only island in Seychelles with an international airport, so even if you end up staying on another island, you will be nearby on Mahe.

La Digue Beaches, Seychelles

Anse Coco, Seychelles | La Digue IslandAnse Coco, Seychelles | La Digue Island

This beautiful beach is also located on the island of La Digue (the third largest island in the Seychelles, and the site of many of the uber nice and expensive resorts).  To access Anse Coco you need to complete a 45 minute hike in from Grand Anse, but don’t worry since the hike is not too strenuous and can often lead you to having this beautiful beach to yourself.

Anse Source d’Argent | La Digue (Best Beach in Seychelles!)

When people google photos of Seychelles beaches to gawk at this is one of the most likely beaches to appear.  There is a nearby coral reef that keeps the waters on the beach calm and clear…i.e. making amazing pictures.  Even though this beach is often crowded, it is only crowded by Seychelles standards which is nothing compared to normal beach crowding.  Access it through L’Union Estate for a fee of about $5.

To access this beach you likely need to come from Anse Source D’Argent.  The thing that amazes me about this beach is that when I lasted checked its reviews on trip advisor, it literally didn’t have a single negative review about it. That alone speaks to its quality as people love to bash destinations on there!

Best Beaches in Praslin Island Seychelles

Anse Lazio, Seychelles | Praslin

Anse Lazio is another super famous beach on the second largest island in the nation Praslin.  It features the iconic Seychelles granite boulders along the shore and in the water.  Be careful while swimming here though as there isn’t a coral reef to keep sharks out, and there have been a couple attacks.

Anse Georgette Beach, Seychelles | Praslin Island Anse Georgette beach Seychelles

Anse Georgette is an exquisite beach on the island of Praslin.  This one can be a little bit more difficult to get to if you aren’t staying at the Lumeria Resort as they control access.  They typically let non hotel guests in, but to make sure you are allowed you should have your hotel call ahead and request permission for you.
